Chef Betty Shares

     Dear Bloggers,

My name is Betty Ayers and I'm the chef in our Ayers home.  Just like millions of other people I have Arthritis and Fibromyalgia.  Sometimes it's horrible, especially when it rains and they both act up at the same time, you   think you're going to die.  Then sometimes (not often) it'd not so bad, but one thing's for sure, it's something I have to deal with every day.  At 72 years old, I'm not ready to let go of my dreams so I fight this battle with every step I take, but I won't let it win.  I'll share some recipes and foods here, which is sound information for anyone, not just those with RA and Fibro.

Eating Season on the Sunporch

Hello Family & Friends,

There's no better eating season than autumn on the sunporch, with a vast array of peak produce.

                                                                                Wishful Thinking

Where End-of-summer corn & tomatoes meet early apples & young squash.
Now that the weather's a little cooler, put fall's cornucopia of fruits and vegetables to use on your beautiful sunporch.  This inviting sunporch, I wish I had but I wanted you to enjoy it.  Sorry, forgot where I got it.

Brisk Cool Air & Nature's Beauty

Dear Friends and Family,

With the kids back to school and the days getting shorter, September is almost over, make the most of the cool air and sunshine.  The leaves have started to change and our sunporch is ready for picture taking, as you will see below.

It's finally sweater weather, and we love to fill week-ends with trips to visit family, cheering on University of Kentucky games and soaking up the last of the sunshine.  A backyard bonfire is always a good idea.

Soon enough the wind will pick up and we'll need our jackets, and the sun will set at dinner time.  Enjoy September while it lasts.

We're glad you've stopped by to say hello and we hope you will stay a while.

The Blackberry Patch Lady,
Betty
